About Geena
Geena Taraschi is the Atlantic Restorative Company’s (ARC) Office Coordinator. Geena holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Justice and Community Studies from Saint Mary’s University (SMU) 2025. Throughout her degree, she has worked as an Accommodation Assistant at The Language Centre and as an International Student Centre Assistant for the International Centre. She has experience working with newcomers and helping them adjust to their university experience. Community engagement is of great importance to Geena’s work, while representing diversity, inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
In 2026, Geena completed courses through the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP), Restorative Justice Conferencing and Reimagining Campus Community with Restorative Practices. Geena is currently working with like-minded people to establish a community network for South Asian newcomers and settlers to help them thrive in Canada and build connections to resources.
During Geena’s free time, she enjoys watching movies, trying new restaurants with her friends around Halifax, walking her dog and spending time with her family. She is a committed soccer fan and even grew up playing soccer. She is very committed to physical and mental health and wellbeing. She loves to engage in deep conversations about social issues, religion and even a bit of philosophy about life. She appreciates all topics that keep her thinking critically, open minded and importantly, educated.
